Dear Friends,
The Orthodox General Assembly, which brought together here in Jerusalem representatives of the entire spectrum of the orthodox world, germinated from a desire for a platform upon which the entirety of the orthodox world could stand in brotherhood, and aims ultimately at creating the shared voice for orthodox Judaism which could be heard around the world.
We have managed to gather representatives of the orthodox leadership of myriad hues from across the orthodox spectrum for the first time. These leaders faithfully represent religious, educational, and communal leadership from around the world who see before their eyes the fate and future of the Jewish people, and the centrality of the State of Israel as a Jewish state for all Jews.
The monumental process aimed at realizing these goals were begun in the Assembly's discussions and resolutions. A foundation has been placed upon which to build programs aimed at strengthening and disseminating the message of Torah and Mitzvot that is the centerpiece of our world view. They have also set the tone for a new involvement of orthodox Jews in the highest echelons of power and of leadership of Jewish organizations, in order to strengthen the orthodox voice and position and hence to strengthen the Jewish community at large.
We are now pleased to invite you to the third Orthodox General Assembly, to be held in Jerusalem
27-31 December 2002, for further information, click here
We hope and pray that we merit the opportunity to promote and to further this crucial process, helping to carry orthodox leadership to the center stage of the Jewish world. The task at hand is monumental, and the process has only just begun. We invite you to join this great enterprise, and will be glad to provide you with any information you require about the upcoming regional conferences, as well as the second international OGA.
Sincerely,
Eliezer Sheffer
